Cali's Kitty Friends

A Jacksonville cat shelter

Finding fur-ever homes for our furry friends.

We want Jacksonville to be a gentler place for cats who've had a rough start. The young ones who still crave affection stay with us until a loving fur-ever home finds them, and we make sure they're healthy, social, and ready. The older feral cats who can't be adopted are helped through TNR, giving them relief and stopping the endless cycle of kittens born on the streets.

How adoption works

Apply to adopt

Peek a kitty, tell us about your home, then we set up a meet. The first hello is not a contract. We meow back when a match feels right.

  1. Peek

Meet the kitties. Read their stories. If someone tugs at you, that’s a good start.

  2. Apply

A short note about your home and who you are. Paperwork comes later, if it feels like a fit.

  3. Meet

We set up a visit so you and the kitty can see if the spark is real. No street address until then.

  4. Head home

Come get them in Jacksonville, pick up from the vet when care is finishing, or we hope to bring kitty to you when we can.

Most kitties leave us ready to go, already spayed or neutered with basic shots. Some are almost ready and just finishing that care. You can still apply, and some adopters pay the fee and pick kitty up from the vet when those visits are done. Adoption fees go toward spay or neuter and basic shots. If we bring kitty to you, that travel is part of the same fee.
