Welcome to Cali's Kitty Friends. We are cat lovers in Jacksonville, Florida, near NAS Jax, helping furry friends find fur ever homes. These are our house rules in plain talk.

Who we are

We are a couple-run crew, not an emergency rescue. We do not take late night intakes or roadside emergencies. If a furry friend is in crisis, please go to a 24 hour emergency hospital. You can find public hospitals on our About and Contact pages.

We are not a registered charity. Gifts help the kitties. They are not a tax deduction through us.

Adopting

The apply form is a first hello. It is not a contract. We will meow back before any meet and greet. We may say a home is not the right match, and that is okay. If a kitty does go home with you, the real paperwork happens later.

Adoption fees go back toward the spay or neuter and basic shots we already gave. If we bring kitty to you, that travel is part of the same fee. You can come get your kitty in Jacksonville. We also hope to bring kitties across the country when we can, so either we bring kitty to you or you come get it.

If a kitty cannot stay, please contact us so they can come back home, instead of listing them or dropping them off somewhere. Please do not declaw.

Gifts

Donations go to the kitties: food, litter, vet care, and a soft place to wait. Gifts are generally not refundable. If you are signed in, we may note your gift on your account and later waive adoption fees. That is a thank you, not a promise in writing.

PayPal handles the payment. Amazon handles the shopping list. Their terms apply when you use them.

Accounts

Be kind. Tell the truth on applications. We may close an account if it is used to hurt kitties or people. Staff roles are for helpers we know.

The site

Kitty photos and stories here belong to this little house. Please do not copy them to sell things or pretend they are yours.

We mention clinics we like, including emergency hospitals. They are not affiliated with us. We just want furry friends to get care.

jaxcats.org should work, but websites nap sometimes. We are not on the hook for a bad connection or a page that is briefly out to lunch.
