Privacy
We are a small Jacksonville crew. We look after kitties, and we look after the notes you share with us too. We do not sell your information. We do not send it to strangers for ads.
What you might share
If you say hello, apply to adopt, create an account, or send a gift, we may see:
- Your name, email, and phone
- Your city and state, not a street address on this site
- A little about your home, other pets, kids, and your vet
- Which kitty caught your eye
- Messages, notes, and donation details
Passwords are tucked away as a hash. We cannot peek at the password you typed.
Who else might see it
Just enough helpers to run this little house:
- Us, and staff we trust
- PayPal, if you give a gift there
- Discord, so contact notes and applications can land in our inbox
- Google Analytics, which counts visits so we know the site is working
- Amazon, only if you hop over to our supply list
Those companies have their own privacy pages. We do not control their houses.
Cookies
A small cookie keeps you signed in. Google Analytics may use cookies to remember that you stopped by. That is so we can keep jaxcats.org cozy, not so we can follow you around the internet.
Kids
Adoption is for grownups. You need to be 18 or older to apply. If you are younger, please bring a grownup along.
Questions
Want something updated or deleted? Say hello. We will do our best, as long as we do not still need the note to care for a kitty or keep our records honest.
This is how we handle information, in plain talk. It is not lawyer magic. We may tidy this page if the site grows.
