We've opened a GoFundMe for Cali's Kitty Friends

Hello from Jacksonville.

After we moved here from Fort Lauderdale, the stray cat situation hit hard. Too many kitties outdoors. Too many litters. Not enough safe places to land.

So we started building something small and real: Cali's Kitty Friends, right here near NAS Jax. Cali is our tiny dwarf calico spokeskitty. The website at jaxcats.org is where you can meet our adoptable kitties and peek at what we're building.

Today we opened a GoFundMe to help this little shelter grow the right way.

Your gift goes toward things that make a difference for the cats in our care right now, and for the ones still waiting outside:

• Medical care like spay and neuter, vaccines, exams, and treatments
• Filing costs so we can become a formal nonprofit with the State of Florida and the IRS
• A large outdoor catio so our kitties have a safe place to climb and nap in the sun
• Live traps for TNR work with feral adults
• Cameras for kitten livestreams on jaxcats.org
• Everyday supplies like food and litter

We're still small. We're not an emergency intake service. We focus on younger cats who want laps, and we help with TNR for feral seniors when we can.

If you can send a little love, thank you. If you can share the campaign, that helps too. Every donation, no matter the size, moves a kitty closer to care and a fur-ever home.

With love from the crew,
Cali's Kitty Friends
